Indulge in Luxury: Top Five-Star Resorts to Stay at in OC

Orange County has its fair share of luxurious places and eateries. Ironically, there are only a few five-star resorts residing directly in Orange County. Nevertheless, if you're looking to indulge in a little splurge for lodging, here is a quick review of the properties (personally ranked).

Top 5-Star Resorts in Orange County, CA:

1. Montage Laguna Beach - Those who know me are not surprised that the Montage in Laguna is my favorite property in OC. From the culinary, accommodations, service, and more, the Montage in Laguna has exceed my expectations beyond measure.

2. The Resort at Pelican Hill - Nested on over 500 acres, the Resort at Pelican Hill is a luxurious escape. I've personally experienced better service at the Montage, however if it were elevated a notch at Pelican Hill, this one may have first place.

3. The Ranch at Laguna Beach - While a smaller resort, The Ranch is such a sweet little luxury. Their breakfast features some of the most delicious avocado toasts and benedicts.

4. The Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel - Strangely enough, I haven't experienced the top-tier client experience at any of the Ritz properties I've stayed at (including my stay at the Ritz in Santa Barbara for New Years 2023). It's beautiful and has a great ocean view, however there wasn't anything too impressive about the property.

5. Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach - The only thing I enjoyed about the Waldorf was the view. The service, food, and accommodations were completely sub par.
