The mountains were calling my name for New Years Eve celebrations this year and more specifically, finally exploring the infamous Colorado Springs, CO. During my journey from Florida to California, I did have the chance to stay at the Garden of the Gods Resort, however it was such a brief trip and I knew that I needed to come back when I had more time. So, here is my 4-day itinerary for your next trip to this amazing Colorado mountain town.

Day 1
Traveling to Colorado Springs, you can either fly into Colorado Springs Municipal Airport (COS) or Denver International Airport (DEN) which is about a 1-1.5 hour drive away from Colorado Springs. For this past trip, I flew into Denver and grabbed a rental car because I wanted to explore Colorado Springs throughout the trip.
Before driving to Colorado Springs, have late breakfast at the Vista Montagne at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center.
Drive to Colorado Springs
Kona Lou and I stayed at The Broadmoor
Spend the afternoon exploring the property
Dinner at Ristorante Del Lago
Day 2
Grab a pastry and coffee at Cafe Julie's
Trail to Inspiration Point or Midnight Falls at the spectacular Seven Falls
Explore Old Colorado City
Lunch at Restaurant 1858
Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at The Broadmoor's spa
Dinner at Golden Bee (if it's your first time, you'll get 'stung'!)
Day 3
Breakfast at the Lake Terrace Dining Room
Take a drive to Manitou Springs and explore
Hike the Manitou Incline (note: plan for 2+ hours for the 4.5mi round trip hike)
Head back to Manitou Springs and grab lunch at Swirl Restaurant and Wine Bar
Dinner at Summit
Catch a movie at The Broadmoor's Little Theater
Day 4
Breakfast at Ristorante Del Lago
Reserve a lane at Play at the Broadmoor
Explore the Main Resort and check out the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame (all within the Broadmoor!)
Lunch at The Grille
I absolutely LOVED my stay at The Broadmoor and in Colorado Springs. Visiting during New Year's Eve was even more special because I attended the Black Tie Gala and it was such a beautiful and fun evening. Enjoy!
Warmly, Eloiza
